We purchase organic feed from more than 100 independent organic farmers near our dairy farms, contributing to vital local economies. Each year on average, we provide more than $500,000 in cash and in-kind donations to local hunger relief and community organizations.
Executive Chairman & Founder
Marc founded Aurora Dairy Corporation in 1976, which became one of the leading and largest dairy operators in the United States, with farms and facilities in several states. In 2003, he focused Aurora Dairy Corporation exclusively on organic dairy production. This was the beginning of Aurora Organic Dairy.
Prior to establishing Aurora Organic Dairy, Marc was a co-founder and active Chairman of Horizon Organic Dairy. He has also served as an international dairy industry consultant in Oman, Pakistan, Iran, Mexico and Belize.
Throughout his career, Marc has served on numerous non-profit and corporate boards, and has assisted in the creation of several businesses. He was the founding director of First Bank of Idaho, and GF&C. He is an active board member of Headwaters MB.
Marc received a dual B.S. degree in business and engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
Chief Executive Officer
Scott assumed the role of CEO in 2018 with 20 years of experience developing the organic dairy sector. His background includes roles operating all aspects of the organic dairy supply chain, and building national and retailer brands. Scott most recently served as Aurora Organic Dairy’s President, responsible for overseeing operations and business strategies since 2010. He joined Aurora Organic Dairy at its inception as VP of Sales and has grown it to be the country’s leading provider of private brand organic dairy products. Under Scott’s leadership, the company has extended its industry relationships, expanded its integrated producer-processor model and has built a nationwide product distribution footprint.
Scott’s experience in the consumer packaged goods industry began in retail management with Walmart Stores. He then developed a passion for entrepreneurial and conscious food businesses with Horizon Organic and Frontier Natural Products.
Scott received a degree in Marketing from Santa Clara University and resides in Boulder, Colorado.
Chief Operating Officer
Gary is a senior member of the executive committee and is responsible for Aurora Organic Dairy’s manufacturing operations, supply chain, logistics and external milk supply. Prior to assuming the role of COO, he led the Agricultural side of the business, including strategic development and land acquisition. Earlier in Aurora’s evolution Gary was Executive Vice President and CFO from 2005 to 2008.
Gary’s well rounded experience also includes a role as Managing Partner at the private equity firm, 2x Consumer Products Growth Partners. His first exposure to the natural and organic category was as President and CEO of Rudi’s Organic Bakery, facilitating rapid growth, including the merger and integration of three leading Organic bread brands to form Charter Baking. Gary received his B.A. in Accounting from DePaul University and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. He also holds a Certified Public Accounting certificate.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Cammie is responsible for overall financial strategy and direction of Aurora Organic Dairy. Her responsibilities include accounting, tax, treasury, financial planning, risk management and information technology. Cammie joined Aurora Organic Dairy in 2006 and became Chief Financial Officer in 2008.
Before joining Aurora, Cammie worked at Wild Oats Markets, a national natural foods retailer, where she held a variety of leadership roles, including Director of Finance and Treasurer. She led the accounting, tax, treasury and financial planning and reporting functions. Cammie also supported store growth through merger and acquisition activities, and raised both public and private capital to facilitate annual revenue growth from $400 million to $1.1 billion. She started her career working in public policy on health care and welfare reform initiatives for the state of Colorado.
Cammie received her B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and her M.A. degree in Economics from the University of Colorado.

Chief Agricultural Officer
Dr. Juan Velez has been with Aurora Dairy since 1995. In his current role at Aurora Organic Dairy, he is responsible for oversight of all agricultural operations for the company, including dairy farms, and pasture and crop management. Dr. Velez is a recognized veterinary expert, and is a respected national and international speaker on cattle herd health and reproduction. He has applied this expertise to Aurora Organic Dairy, making animal welfare a top priority for the company.
In addition to developing the Animal Welfare program for Aurora Organic Dairy, he is a recognized leader in the areas of animal welfare and herd health. He has been featured in several leading organic herd health and dairy publications, is a frequent speaker at organic industry and veterinary symposiums and collaborates with leading experts on best practices and research in organic dairy management.
A native of Bogota, Colombia, Juan received his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Lasalle in Bogota and holds a M.S. degree in cattle reproduction from Texas A&M University. He is also a Board Certified Theriogenologist, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Dairy Cattle Welfare Council , Board of Directors for ProAg and serves on the advisory board for the High Plains Intermountain Council for Agricultural Health and Safety.
Chief People Officer
Jennifer leads Aurora Organic Dairy’s people operations, which includes team member programs and total rewards, talent management, learning & development, engagement and safety.
Jennifer’s 20 years of expertise includes leading roles at Fortune 500 companies and privately held companies. Her career includes experience in organizations including, United Parcel Service, ConAgra Foods, Ardent Mills and PHM Brands. Her diverse leadership background spans operations, supply chain, customer experience, and human resources for consumer- packaged goods, commodity and agricultural companies.
She holds both a BA in Communications from Marquette University and earned an MBA from National Louis University. Jennifer is active in several non-profit organizations.
Chief Customer Officer
Jason joined Aurora Organic Dairy in mid-2017. As Chief Customer Officer, he oversees sales, customer development and product innovation.
He brings more than 30 years’ experience to his role at Aurora Organic Dairy. Jason has held senior-level sales, customer marketing and category management positions with leading consumer packaged goods companies, including Kraft Foods, Quaker Oats and PepsiCo. Most recently, he was Chief Customer Officer for Sambazon Superfoods, where he developed a passion for the organic food space. At Sambazon, he managed sales teams and product innovations across Food Service, Grocery and Club Store formats.
